Diana Sands, PhD., Dr. Sands is the Director of the Bereaved by Suicide Service a community based bereavement program funded by the Salvation Army Chatswood Corps. For over two decades she has been involved in the provision of community education, counselling and a range of innovative psycho-educational suicide bereavement group programs for adults, adolescents, children, extended family and friends. Dr. Sands has been a lecturer in the Counselling Faculty at Nature Care College since 1995 and in 2006 was the NSW Representative for Suicide Prevention Australia. She served for five years on the NSW Executive Committee for the National Association for Loss and Grief and on the Northern Suburbs Area Health Working Party for issues resulting from violent and sudden death.
